With over 14 years of experience in multiple, prestigious hospital systems, Dr. Paul Lajos brings his wide breadth of vascular talent back to his hometown of Buffalo.
Dr Lajos obtained his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He is board certified in surgery; thoracic and cardiovascular surgery; and vascular surgery and has 14+ years of experience and specializes in open and endovascular thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery (TEVAR & EVAR); carotid surgery; TCAR; dialysis access, lower extremity bypass for claudication and limb salvage; lower extremity stenting and angioplasty; iliac artery stenting and angioplasty; renal artery interventions and varicose vein minimally invasive surgery.
Prior to joining BEVSA, he was chief of vascular surgery at UPMC Hamot and was previously in practice in New York City for 10 years and was chief of vascular surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens in New York City and part of the division of vascular surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is currently a clinical associate professor of surgery in the department of surgery at State University of New York at Buffalo.
He grew up in Buffalo, New York and returns to the area with his wife and 6 year old.
