Radiation injury, chronic non-healing wound, burn or skin grafts treatment with high concentrated oxygen therapy.
A patient recently presented to our office with urinary complaints and repeated bleeding in his urine, because of bladder injury after radiation therapy. Radiation killed the cancer, but it also burnt his urinary bladder cells causing repeated blood loss AKA hematuria. This patient presented with injuries resulting from radiation therapy, however, this treatment can also be used for chronic wounds, burns or skin grafts. Hyperbaric O2 therapy is a very specialized treatment plan that includes a bed in a pressurized chamber delivering 100% concentrated oxygen to tissues, kick starting the healing process.
They will have 90 minute sessions for five days, for approximately 30 times. Most patients completely heal with this , some may require additional sessions. We are so proud to add the service to our current treatment strategies.
